UW Medical Center received its fourth consecutive “A” grade and Northwest Hospital & Medical was also one of 832 hospitals in the nation to receive an “A” grade from The Leapfrog Group for their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms. Harborview Medical Center and Valley Medical Center were also rated highly with “B” grades.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. The fall 2017 ratings were released on October 31. For more information, see Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.
