After 51 years with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Professor Emeritus George Kraft, MD, MS, fully retired on Dec. 31, 2020.

Among Kraft’s many achievements include the discovery of fatigue as the most common symptom of multiple sclerosis, stem cell transplant treatment for multiple sclerosis and developing physiological methods to identify different types of multiple sclerosis. He has more than 300 publications to his name and, in his dedication to disseminating his multiple sclerosis research findings and teaching, even hosted a UWTV series.
