UW Medicine is recognized as a world leader in academic research by U.S. News & World Report in its rankings of Best Global Universities for 2022. With top 30 global rankings in 15 subject areas, UW Medicine is a major contributor to the University of Washington’s overall ranking as No. 7 in the world. Earlier this year, U.S. News also reported that UW Medicine is second in the nation in NIH research grants with $1.3 billion in fiscal year 2020.
