We are pleased to announce that UW Medicine is now scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments for employees eligible under Phase 1B tier 2 of the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.

Those newly eligible to receive the vaccine include:

  • High-risk critical workers who work in certain congregate settings, such as agriculture, corrections (prisons, jails, detention centers), fishing vessel crews, food processing, grocery stores, public transit and remaining first responders.
  • Individuals 16 years or older who are pregnant.
  • Individuals 16 years or older with a disability that puts them at high risk for severe COVID-19 illness as defined by the DOH guidelines.

Those eligible under the previous Phase 1A and Phase 1B tier 1 also remain eligible to receive the vaccine. For more information on vaccination phases, see the COVID-19 vaccine timeline.

Scheduling instructions:

  • UW Medicine employees schedule or decline your COVID-19 vaccination here if you meet the criteria for Phase 1A or the first two tiers of Phase 1B. If you are also a UW Medicine patient, we recommend using this process.
  • University of Washington employees, students, or contractors who are eligible may proceed with vaccine scheduling by calling 844.520.8700. More information is available at uwmedicine.org/coronavirus/vaccine.

A limited number of appointments is available based on vaccine supply and vaccination site capacity. We appreciate your patience as you navigate the process and as we assess our ability to add more vaccination appointment times.

As you await your opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, please maintain the health and safety guidelines of masking and physical distancing. More information can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the UW Medicine Huddle site.

Thank you for your cooperation as UW Medicine works to align with the state’s guidelines. We remain committed to vaccinating our employees and the community in the effort to end the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sincerely,
