Connecting our world at UW Medicine

Raves & Raves: September 2022

Thank you to our UW Medicine employees for all your work to improve the health of the public.

Here’s how we’re making a difference in the community:

Patient relations praise

Gratitude and feedback submitted to patient relations.

Harborview Medical Center (Medical Practice/Sleep Clinic)

“A very coordinated team dedicated to make my appointment go smoothly. Complete answers to questions, sensitivity to my comfort in a first visit to establish care. Mai -> receptionist particularly friendly putting me at ease and answering questions. Violet Robb ARNP very thorough & encouraged me to contact her if any questions or issues.”

UW Medical Center – Northwest (Medical Practice/Sports Medicine Clinic)

“This office is outstanding. Dr. Johnson is compassionate, efficient, and a fantastic problem solver. Her office staff are likewise. I am incredibly grateful for their care!”

UW Medical Center – Montlake (Medical Practice/Head and Neck Center/Otolaryngology)

“Everyone in Dr. Merati’s office I interfaced with was EXCELLENT across the board. They were extremely thoughtful, very generous with their time, really listened to me and my concerns, and approached their care in a way that really made me feel taken care of. I’m a professional singer, and look forward to returning regularly to address vocal health concerns as need be; I feel comfort in knowing that their office and team is there for me when vocal health concerns arise.”

UW Medicine Primary Care (Medical Practice/Factoria)

“I could write a whole paper about how much we appreciate Dr. Kim’s exceptional level of care, unfortunately at the moment we are sick but she is the one of the best doctors ever had the pleasure of having. She is attentive to all aspects of providing medical care while recognizing cultural difference and is sensitive to the concerns, always showing thoughtfulness and follow through. She thinks outside the box when necessary and brought back the human touch to an experience that sometimes makes you feel like you are just another number. She is smart, intuitive, resourceful and a great communicator. We are so lucky to have her and would follow wherever she goes. Referred her to other friends too. Thank you!!”

Valley Medical Center (4S, Emergency Department, Cardiology and Hospitalists)

“I had nurses that were great! Emergency nurses ALL GREAT! In the ICU, Molley, Alonda, and Mellissa were great! ICU, thank you! Thank you, Dr. Yang, for my stent! Fred, the helpful speaker who kept you calm to get through the operation, thank you. Thank you. Dr. Balouch, the one who helped me to get released from the hospital, thank you! Thank you!!!

“Went to Harborview and got my first dose of the monkeypox vaccine. It’s **free** and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Also shoutout to the clinic staff! These are the same people that engage and support our unhoused neighbors on a daily basis. #Seattle #StayHealthy”Twitter logo
