The Huddle was started in 2017 as a news and community site for everyone who works at UW Medicine. It was built as a way for employees to receive news, connect with each other and hear about accomplishments and the incredible work happening in our system. The Huddle evolved during the pandemic as a hub for receiving critical information.

To continue building out this valuable resource and place for community, I’m excited to announce a redesign of The Huddle’s website and email. You will find a new, cleaner look with easier navigation.

Here’s what else you can expect:

  • An improved Mission Forward page with easy-to-find updates on essential plans, key results and a spotlight on the work being done.
  • Featured categories that showcase the stories and initiatives you want to hear about — including Employee Stories, Health and Wellness, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Updated menus with links to UW Medicine intranet pages.
  • Upcoming event listings located on the homepage, so you’ll always be in the know.
  • Plus, some behind-the-scenes changes will help the website run seamlessly.
  • And, a new email layout will highlight need-to-know information, community stories, events and more.

The Huddle remains your place for news and community at UW Medicine. Please check it regularly; we want The Huddle to be a valuable resource for all employees.

Please share your feedback and content ideas by contacting The Huddle at thehuddle@uw.edu or by using the submission form on the website.

Sincerely,

Timothy H. Dellit, MD
