Glenda Roberts was awarded the 2024 Celeste Lee Award by the National Kidney Foundation. Roberts is the director for External Relations & Patient Engagement at the Center for Dialysis Innovation, Northwest Kidney Center, UW Medicine.
Awarded for her patient advocacy work, the Foundation references Roberts’ involvement “in myriad regional, national, and international, transformative kidney health initiatives and patient advisory groups” and kidney-related initiatives.
The award was established in honor of Celeste Castillo Lee, a longtime advocate for patient-centered care and empowerment. It is the highest honor given by the National Kidney Foundation to a distinguished kidney patient who exemplifies their mission and Lee’s legacy of putting patients at the center of all aspects of healthcare.
