Science in Medicine Collaborative Lecture Featuring Andy Hoofnagle and Michael MacCoss

March 5 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join the Office of Research and Graduate Education for a Science in Medicine collaborative lecture, “Protein Mass Spectrometry in Biomedical Research and the Care of Patients,” with Andy Hoofnagle, MD, PhD, and Michael MacCoss, PhD.

This seminar will focus on using mass spectrometry to address hypotheses in medical research and to assist in the care of patients. The field of proteomics emerged as an important tool in scientific investigation more than 30 years ago. The technology of mass spectrometry then became a central feature in proteomics, which permanently changed biochemistry. The speakers will share a few of the ways that they have helped push the field forward, collaborating along the way.

The lecture will be held over Zoom and in person. Learn more and RSVP.
