Brian Krabak, MD, MBA, has been named a team physician for USA Swimming for the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Krabak is a clinical professor of Rehabilitation, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at UW School of Medicine. He has served as a USA Swimming team physician through the High Performance Network since 2009.

The 2022 FINA World Championships will take place from June 18-26. Krabak will be part of a multidisciplinary medical team consisting of other physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, massage therapists and chiropractors who provide sports medicine coverage for athletes and coaches competing internationally.

In addition to providing on-site medical coverage, he also reviews pre-competition health history forms, collaborates with the athletes’ home medical teams, and helps coordinate any post-competition medical needs.
