Barbara Goff, MD, professor and chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the UW School of Medicine, was awarded the Dr. Saul E. Rivkin Award by the Rivkin Center.
Goff’s research interests include early detection of ovarian cancer, novel therapeutic drugs for ovarian and other gynecologic malignancies, and surgical training and education. She also helped develop the Ovarian Cancer Symptoms Questionnaire to help people experiencing key ovarian cancer symptoms communicate that information to their physician.
The Dr. Saul E. Rivkin Award is named in honor of retired Seattle oncologist Dr. Saul Rivkin. Based in Seattle, the Rivkin Center was one of the first nonprofits in the nation to fund ovarian cancer research and awareness.
