The American Association for the Advancement of Science has named two faculty members from the UW School of Medicine as AAAS Fellows:
- Eberhard Fetz, PhD, professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, is a pioneer in brain-machine interfaces.
- Daniel Raftery, PhD, professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and in the Public Health Sciences Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, studies the small molecules at work during metabolism in cells, animals and people.
