For more than 50 years, the University of Washington’s Awards of Excellence celebrate outstanding faculty, staff, students and alumni whose achievements exemplify the University’s mission. This year, fourteen UW Medicine employees were honored with awards.
Sarah Zaman, MD, clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, received a Distinguished Teaching Award.
Lee Ann Campbell, PhD, MS, professor in the Department of Global Health and director of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Pathobiology, received the Marsha L. Landolt Distinguished Gradaute Mentor Award.
Zahra Ali, RN, Critical Care at UW Medical Center, received the Outstanding Public Service Award.

Lisa Chew, MD, MPH, associate professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine and associate medical director of Ambulatory Care at Harborview Medical Center, received a Thorud Leadership Award.

John Lynch, MD, MPH, associate professor in the Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and medical director of Infection Prevention and Control at Harborview Medical Center received a Thorud Leadership Award.
