The University of Washington is now the No. 6 ranked university in the world, according to U.S. News & World Report in its 2022-23 Best Global Universities rankings. The university improved from No. 7 last year and remains No. 2 in the world among public institutions.
More than 2,000 schools from the U.S. and 90 other countries were ranked on 13 indicators that measured academic research performance and global and regional reputations. The UW School of Medicine’s academic research is a major contributor to the University of Washington’s No. 6 ranking.
