The University of Washington tied for No. 7 in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities rankings for 2024-2025. The UW maintained its No. 2 ranking among U.S. public institutions.
More than 2,000 schools from the U.S. and 100 other countries were ranked on 13 indicators that measured academic research performance and global and regional reputations. The UW School of Medicine’s academic research is a major contributor to the University of Washington’s No. 7 ranking.
