UW Medical Center has been named among the top performers in the 2019 Ambulatory Care Quality and Accountability Award from Vizient. The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in delivering high-quality outpatient care in five key domains: access to care, quality, efficiency, continuum of care and equity.

Award recipients are determined through the Vizient Ambulatory Care Quality and Accountability Study, which assesses data from participating academic faculty practices. The composite scoring system utilizes practice and patient-level data across several databases.

UW Medical Center was honored for its ability to deliver ambulatory care that focuses on patient quality while, at the same time, improving cost and accessibility to benefit patients and the community. A group of UWMC leadership traveled to the annual Vizient Connections Summit to accept the award on behalf of the organization.
