UW School of Medicine Genome Sciences Education Outreach has received a 5-year, $1.2 million Science Education Partnership Award from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, National Institutes of Health. The award will support the Genes, the Environment, and Me: Health and STEM Network program, which integrates type 2 diabetes education into a variety of high school courses and introduces students from diverse backgrounds to biomedical careers.
