Trisha Davis, PhD, was named to the Cellular and Developmental Biology, Microbiology and Immunology (including Genetics) section of the Biological Sciences class of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Davis is a professor and the chair of biochemistry at the UW School of Medicine. She runs the Davis Lab, where she and her colleagues explore the dynamics of the chromosome capture that occurs in preparation for cell division. Davis is also a co-investigator at the Yeast Resource Center, funded by the National Institutes of Health, which aims to develop technologies for exploring protein structure and function.
