Title: Meet MERRIN! (if you know, you know) They spent years of ignoring recommendations for screening mammography after the age of 40 due to HORROR stories about implant ruptures from mammograms. At 44, they had a friend diagnosed with breast CANCER, so decided to have that mammogram, even though they noted no lumps or breast changes. Abnormalities were found, biopsies completed, and Merrin was diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, Merrin has just completed her mastectomy with Dr. Flanagan. The power flickered, but luckily, only her breast was taken. BEWARE!!! And get your screening mammograms annually.
