We are pleased to share with you the newly revised UW Medicine Policy on Professional Conduct.

The policy was first adopted in May 2009 and updated in November 2016 and October 2017. This past year, the UW Medicine Continuous Professionalism Improvement (CPI) Committee used the Equity Impact Tool from the UW Medicine Office of Healthcare Equity to support policy revisions.

The goal of the policy is to reflect the professional standards that we strive for in our community in support of our mission to improve the health of the public.

The policy covers the work we do in our education and training, research, and clinical environments. Please see the article on The Huddle for more information.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the individuals across UW Medicine who gave their time and feedback for the 2021 revisions to the Policy on Professional Conduct under the leadership of Dr. Giana Davidson, Assistant Dean for Professionalism.

Sincerely,
