Each year, UW Medicine sponsors and participates in the annual Puget Sound-area Pride events and activities, and this year, there’s more happening than ever before.
From pride flag-raising events at each of our hospital campuses at 10 a.m. on June 3, to PrideFest Capitol Hill to the Seattle Pride and Tukwila Trans Pride parades, there are many opportunities to get involved by volunteering or taking part in the events.
Seattle’s PrideFest and Pride parades are the premier annual events focused around our local lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. You do not need to be a member of the LGBTQ community to participate. All are welcome!
Register today to let our UW Medicine organizers know how you’re interested in participating.
After you register to volunteer for a booth (Tukwila PrideFest, Trans Pride March or PrideFest Capitol Hill), you’ll be contacted to confirm your volunteer shift(s).
In mid- to late June, participants who signed up for a t-shirt will receive information regarding t-shirt pick-up.
During the last week of June, volunteers who have been assigned a shift at the Trans Pride March and/or PrideFest Capitol Hill will receive information about the booth location. At the same time, all participants who sign up for the Pride Parade will receive an email with information about the Pride Parade set-up time, staging location, etc.
