UW Medicine and Premera Blue Cross have reached a new multi-year agreement, effective July 1, 2023. This agreement allows UW Medicine to continue to be an in-network provider for Premera members with reimbursement rates that reflect the increased cost of delivering healthcare services.
“The new contract represents a collaboration between two organizations that provides stability in today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment,” says Tim Dellit, MD, interim CEO, UW Medicine, in a joint press release. “I am delighted that we can continue to provide in-network access to the high-quality care at UW Medicine for all of our Premera patients and families.”
The agreement applies to all Premera lines of business and includes these UW Medicine locations and physician services:
- Harborview Medical Center
- UW Medical Center – Northwest & Montlake
- UW Medicine Primary Care
- UW Physicians, including services provided at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
- Valley Medical Center
