Pradeep Suri Receives 2020 International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine Prize

Pradeep Suri, MD, an associate professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and a staff physician at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Puget Sound Health Care System, along with fellow authors: Elizaveta Elgaeva, Yakov Tsepilov, Maxim Freidin, Frances Williams, were awarded a $20,000 ISSLS Prize for Lumbar Spine Research in the area of Clinical Science.

The team was awarded for their their article “Examining Causal Effects of Body Mass Index on Back Pain: A Mendelian Randomization Study.” The award is sponsored by the European Spine Journal.
