We are honored to recognize our UW Medicine Pharmacy Team as part of National Pharmacy Week.

This week, Oct. 17-23, we are celebrating National Pharmacy Week, a week that recognizes pharmacists’ and pharmacy technicians’ contributions to patient care. At UW Medicine, pharmacy services are integrated into patient care teams across all care settings, ensuring safe and effective use of medications. Pharmacists round with physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to manage drug therapies, educate patients on their medication regimens and make sure the right medication is prescribed for the right patient.

Oct. 19 is Pharmacy Technician Day. Pharmacy technicians play an integral role in ensuring the right medication gets to the patient in a timely manner by preparing doses, replenishing medication stock and ensuring the medication makes it from the pharmacy to patient care areas.

Over the last year, our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians have worked tirelessly to help provide COVID-19 vaccines and treatments to our patients and employees.

Please join UW Medicine Pharmacy Services in celebrating National Pharmacy Week!
