The 2020 Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change U.S. Virtual Launch Event will take place on Dec. 3 at 9-11 a.m. PST and will explore the 2020 Global Report & U.S. Brief. Jeremy Hess, MD, MPH, associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, is a speaker and co-lead for this event.
The annual global report tracks the impact of climate change on human health and is a product of more than 100 experts from 35 global institutions. The companion U.S. Brief is supported by 70 U.S. institutions, organizations and centers. This year’s report highlights that no one is immune from the converging health crises of COVID-19 and climate change.
