Dear Colleagues:
As we move toward “go-live” on January 1, 2020, we’re continuing to define the new structure, staffing and leadership of UW Medical Center’s two campuses. In advance of that date, teams made up of staff from both organizations are working to ensure a successful launch of the integrated hospital and the continued provision of excellent patient care. This work is occurring in many areas, including finance, human resources, governance and hospital operations, among others.
Following the announcement of new leadership roles for Cindy Hecker and Geoff Austin, we’re pleased to announce the new, integrated UWMC executive team. These leaders will continue the work they do today for their individual organizations, as well as function in their new roles in preparation for the future integrated UWMC.
This organizational chart shows the structure of the integrated, two-campus UWMC executive team, which includes:

- Cindy Hecker, who will serve as Executive Director for both campuses

- Geoff Austin, who will serve as Chief Operating Officer for both campuses

- Cindy Sayre, who will serve as the Chief Nursing Officer over nursing practice for the integrated UWMC, along with her role as Nurse Executive for the current UWMC campus

- Sue Manfredi, who will continue to serve as Nurse Executive for the Northwest Hospital campus

- Tom Staiger, MD, who will serve as Medical Directorr for the integrated UWMC, along with his role as Medical Director for the current UWMC campus

- Dr. Santiago Neme, who will continue to serve as Medical Director for the Northwest Hospital campus

- Pam Renna, who will serve as the executive leader for strategic planning and facilities for both campuses

- John Lang, MD, who will serve as executive leader for surgical services for both campuses

- Jennifer Herrman, who will serve as executive leader over ambulatory specialty clinics on both campuses

- Jeff Richey, who will serve as executive leader for essential services, including lab, radiology, food & nutrition, etc. on both campuses
