- Flu vaccines can help you stay healthy and reduce your risk of serious illness from seasonal flu.
The flu vaccine is the best way to reduce your risk from seasonal flu and potentially serious complications of infection. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends routine annual influenza vaccination for people ages 6 months and older who do not have contraindications. This year, Employee Health will be offering both a trivalent vaccine (Fluarix) and a high-dose flu vaccine (Fluzone) for individuals aged 65 and older.

You can find the locations and hours for the Harborview Medical Center and UW Medical Center clinics online at UW Medicine Influenza Prevention Program 2024 (AMC login required) or by contacting emhealth@uw.edu.
Flu vaccinations will also be provided at UW Medicine Primary Care clinics. Check with your clinic manager for dates and times.
Information about flu vaccine requirement
Healthcare workers, staff, volunteers and students in our hospitals and clinics must complete the flu vaccine requirement by Nov. 15, 2024. Options for compliance:
- Get your flu shot at an Employee Health clinic on a walk-in basis.
- Complete the vaccine attestation form if you received your flu shot in the community (UW NetID login).
- Use the same vaccine attestation form to decline the flu vaccination this year (UW NetID login).
School of Medicine Employees in non-clinical roles are welcome to receive flu shots at the hospital clinics. Check with your department for specific vaccination requirements.
