Mental Health and Substance Misuse: How Managers Can Help Employees and Colleagues

As part of UW Medicine’s ongoing efforts to promote employee health and well-being, UW Medicine is hosting a webinar for managers and faculty leaders on how to identify and help employees who may be struggling with mental health or substance misuse issues. This presentation is for anyone who is responsible for managing employees including managers, supervisors and directors as well as faculty who interact with students, resident trainees and staff.
Please join Doyanne Darnell, clinical director of Psychological Services at Harborview Medical Center, and Jennifer Petritz, Employee Relations director for hospitals, as they share helpful information on how to approach and interact with employees and colleagues who may need assistance. They will offer tools and resources to help you navigate this very difficult interaction with staff and colleagues.
