Dr. Lisa Taitsman, professor of orthopedics and sports medicine at the UW School of Medicine, has been elected as Director-Elect of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Nominations for the Board of Directors come from the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Taitsman specializes in orthopedic surgery for trauma patients at Harborview Medical Center. She earned undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University and a Master in Public Health degree from Harvard University. She completed her Orthopedic Surgery Residency in the Harvard Combined Program and a trauma fellowship at Harborview.
