We are entering an exciting phase with Destination: One, our FIT initiative to standardize workflows and simplify foundational systems across UW Medicine and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
Last year, we were focused on building our new enterprise-wide single Epic electronic health record (EHR). This year, we are focused on getting ready to implement the tools, and we are happy to report that we are on track for a successful go-live on October 3, 2020.
There are a few key areas that determine the success for D1:

- Quality and Value: D1 will deliver significant clinical transformation. The support from UW Medicine and SCCA clinical and business departments has been extraordinary during the numerous direction and adoption sessions, clinical design sessions, clinical advisory group meetings, physician advisory group meetings, committee meetings and various other meetings. With your help, we are excited to deliver new systems and workflows that meet your needs.

- Time and Resources: We are on track with the D1 budget. Our forecasting gives us confidence that the project will finish on time and within the approved budget. We have partnered with the leading EHR vendor and have drawn on internal experts as well as the best external experts from across the country.
Right now, our IT teams are running tests on the system and refining workflows to ensure the smoothest possible user experience. We are engaged with trusted outside partners who are helping us continue to strengthen the project and increase value as we move forward.
We are establishing site readiness teams to help facilitate communication, training, testing and readiness activities. I encourage you to please participate in these events to help ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
