Dana Scharfenberg, MN, RN, OCN, CPAN, a post-anesthesia care unit nurse at UW Medical Center – Montlake, was recognized as a hometown hero at the Seattle Mariners game on Aug. 26.
Along with her daily duties at UW Medical Center, Sharfenberg volunteered as the 2019-2020 president of the Puget Sound Oncology Nursing Society (PSONS) and has worked extra shifts in the pop-up UW Medical Center – Montlake COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. She also started a year-round sock drive with the help of colleagues in the PACU.
