On March 1, the UW School of Medicine Department of Medicine held a webinar on the COVID-19 vaccine and allergic reactions.
The session was presented by David Coleman, MD, and moderated by Shireesha Dhanireddy, MD and covered a range of topics, including incidence of anaphylaxis, vaccine side effects, cases of common reactions and current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance.
Along with the presentation, Coleman and Dhanireddy answered participant questions on delayed reactions, second-dose precautions, having risk-benefit conversations with patients and more.
