UW Medical Center was recognized in the 2024 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report. UW Medical Center earned the highest possible rating, “High Performing,” for Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy).
“Our U.S. News rating highlights the exceptional work of UW Medical Center’s maternity care teams,” says Cindy Hecker, CEO of UW Medical Center. “We are dedicated to offering patients high-quality, individualized care for every stage of pregnancy.”
A high-performing rating indicates above-average performance on a range of objective quality measures, such as rates of unexpected complications, C-sections, and more. Of the 680 hospitals that submitted maternity data to U.S. News this year, UW Medical Center is one of only 311 that earned a High Performing rating.
“The maternity care faculty and staff at UW Medical Center provide excellent and compassionate patient care,” says Barbara Goff, MD, chair, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, UW School of Medicine. “Thank you to our care teams for the work they do every day to deliver exceptional care for our patients.”
